You can learn to speak Spanish, even if you've never studied a foreign language. The fact is, anyone can learn to speak a new language, as long as they are willing to give it some serious study. After all, there are a lot of great reasons to learn a language other than the one you grew up speaking. You can get great practice in your new language without needing to leave the country!
